the melon dillema

Today I felt like being BOLD, DARING, border line REBELLIOUS... dun dun dun... I cut the cantaloupe a different way! It looked like this

I like the new way to cut the delicious fruit...it creates less melon butts...

it was a slow day...

Chips and Salsa

As we arrived home from the store today and before all of the many, many bags of groceries were piled high on the counter top I was diving into this DELECTABLE, DIVINE, and DELISH snack of chips and salsa. My husband looked at me a little surprised then gave me the, "I understand your passion, dive in, I'm glad you are happy." Grin

I will FOREVER be grateful to Tejas for introducing me to El Milagro tortilla chips and Texas-Texas Salsa (Medium tastes better than mild even if you can't handle the heat it's a must) .

GRACIAS TEJAS, GRACIAS !!!

P.S. add a touch of salt=perfection

Hurricane Y-Ike-s

This weekend we hosted 3 adults to add to our 2 and 2 dogs to add to our 1 child. They are formally called evacuees, okay family, escaping the wrath to be of Hurricane Ike. Unlike fish, they didn't stink after 3 days...they showered!

p.s. I don't have any pics to show how crowded and fun our place was because I was either trying to get the dogs to play in the street, cooking a delish treat, or elevating my feet.

p.p.s I also forgot to put the memory card in the camera...
